Biography
Michael KINGAN
Michael obtained his PhD on aerofoil self-noise from the University of Canterbury in 2006. Following his PhD he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and then as a lecturer at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton. During this time he worked mainly investigating the noise produced by Advanced Open Rotors. Since joining the University of Auckland in 2015 he has continued his research in aeroacoustics and had broadened his research into topics related to general acoustics and aerodynamics. In recent years he has had a particular focus on unmanned aerial vehicle noise.
