Biography

Prof Hao Liu is a professor at Chiba University. He is an elected Fellow of both the Engineering Academy of Japan (EAJ) and the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME). His research interests include computational mechanics, biomechanics of flight and swimming, fluid–structure interaction, biomimetics, insect-inspired micro air vehicles, bio-inspired engineering, and AI-driven predictive medicine. Professor Liu serves as the Executive Editor-in-Chief of Acta Mechanica Sinica and as an Associate Editor for Journal of the Royal Society Interface, Bioinspiration & Biomimetics, and Journal of Bionic Engineering.
