Call for Abstracts

The Organising Committee of the Workshop on Noise Impact and Control for Low-Altitude Aviation (31st Oct - 1st Nov, 2025) welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral presentations.

  • Submission deadline: 10 Sep, 2025
  • Abstracts submitted on or before 10 Sep, 2025 will receive a preliminary acceptance notification by 30 Sep, 2025.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Abstract must be submitted through email to laenoise@ust.hk. Please include your full name and university/organization.
  2. Abstract must be written in English.
  3. The abstract text should be within 300 words and should be structured with: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Summary.
  4. Tables, graphs and images are not required.
  5. The submission will be reviewed by the scientific committee who have the right to make the final decision on all submissions.

Categories

All submissions should align with the scope of the workshop:

  • Noise mechanisms of low-altitude aircraft
  • Noise control technologies (e.g. aerodynamic design, propulsion units)
  • Testing, prediction methodologies and computational modeling
  • Environmental impact assessment and flight route optimization
  • Meteorological effects on low-altitude aircraft noise propagation
  • Noise standards, regulations, and policy support
  • Noise from electric/hybrid aircraft and novel airframe configurations

Acceptance of Abstract

  • Abstracts submitted on or before 10 Sep, 2025 will receive a preliminary acceptance notification by 30 Sep, 2025.
  • Acceptance results and preparation guidelines will be released on or before 30 Sep, 2025.
  • Presenting authors of the accepted abstracts are required to complete their registration.
